Kent Turene Visits Gainesville

Kent Turene, a 6-3 and 225-pound linebacker, is a hot commodity in the world of recruiting. Coaches such as Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Mark Richt and Steve Spurrier are all trying to land the Lauderdale Lakes (FL) Boyd H. Anderson superstar. Turene returned from Gainesville this week and talked about what impressed him.

"Everything was good," Kent Turene said.

"The best part was the time I spent with the coaching staff. I got to see student life and meet the players. I enjoyed time with Coach Meyer."

Turene is big, fast and physical. Turene could play any of the three linebacker spots and has great athleticism and has the ability to really move sideline to sideline.

Turene currently holds offers from Alabama, Cincinnati, Florida, Florida International, Florida State, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Purdue, South Carolina, South Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Wake Forest, West Virginia and Western Kentucky.
