Tommy Jordan, from Ridgefield (CT) is the nation's No. 17 ranked offensive tackle prospect in America according to Scout.com. He has a great frame and size to play anywhere on the line. He is projected at the all important tackle position at the next level and is versatile enough to slide inside if called upon.
One current Gator is extremely happy, 2011 quarterback commitment Jeff Driskel.
"Getting big offensive linemen is key," Driskel said. "A lot of times the skill position guys get all the glory but offensive linemen are critical to an offense. Getting a big boy like Tommy is great and hopefully we can get a few more and have a good class of offensive linemen."
Jordan wass the seventh prospect to announce for the University of Florida as he joins quarterback Jeff Driskel, cornerback Pop Saunders, tight end AC Leonard, defensive end Jeoffrey Pagan, wide receiver Javares McRoy and fullback Hunter Joyer.
Jordan holds offers from some of college football's top programs such as Boston College, California, Duke, Florida, Rutgers, Syracuse and Wisconsin.
