FNL Stars Ready to Shine

As the Florida Gators are set for another Friday Night Lights extravaganza, we take a look at some of the prospects that will be in attendance as well as ones that are not scheduled to visit.

It has been a daunting task over the last few days tracking down players from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Virginia, Florida, California, New Jersey and Georgia. If you are able to attend FNL next Friday, July 23, these are a few of the players you might want to keep an eye on but certainly not all of them. Over the last 72 hours, I have personal confirmation from all of the players listed below. However, this does not mean the list is subject to change moving forward. As of today, here is what the list look likes.

A.C. Leonard, Hunter Joyer, Javares McRoy, Jeoffrey Pagan, Ja'Juan Story, Pop Saunders and Ryan Shazier will also be in attendance. It is unclear at this time if offensive linemen Tommy Jordan or quarterback Jeff Driskel will be able to attend and kicker Kyle Christy will not be able to attend.

James Wilder told me last night that he is unsure if he will attend or not and the same can be said for both Tim Jernigan and Kelvin Benjamin. However, I do expect to see them in Gainesville on the July 23.

There are a number of players with a variety of reasons that will not be able to attend next week's Friday Night Lights and some of them include:

Rodney Coe, Lamar Dawson, Curtis Grant, Rashad Greene, Corian Hamilton, Chris Jones, Dontae Levingston, Josue Matias, Charone Peake, Jameel Poteat, Calvin Pryor, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Valdez Showers, Tom Smith, Damian Swann, Landon Turner, Xzavier Ward, Ray Drew, Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix, Jack Tabb, Tre Mason, Sean Duggan, D'Angelo Roberts, Jabari Gorman, Sammy Watkins, Jay Rome, Pat Martin, Savon Huggins and Miles Shuler.

Some of these players will be at camp in Orlando and will try and make the drive over like Gerald Christian, Matt Elam and Jonathan Dowling.

Tre Mason will be attending his grandfathers funeral in New York and might not be back in time. Clay Chastain will be with his entire family. Anthony Rabasa is bringing his mother, father and defensive coordinator. Trip Thurman will be with his mother and father and Purifoy is coming with his mother and two sisters. Jordan Jenkins will be with his mother, father and sister.
