Nick Waisome currently holds offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, LSU, Miami, South Carolina, Arkansas, Duke, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Stanford and Central Florida. It should come down to an in-state battle with the Big Three as Waisome has camped at Florida, Florida State and Miami. The edge lies with the Gators as head coach Walter Banks has sent two players in two years running back Jeff Demps and offensive linemen Jonotthan Harrison to Gainesville.
Waisome will have two more teammates with him during Friday Night Lights with 6-1 and 190-pound outside linebacker prospect Jordan Montgomery. Montgomery holds offers from Arkansas, Iowa State, Maryland, Mississippi and Central Florida.
Junior standout wide receiver Patrick Harris, at 6-0 and 170-pounds, could be one of the most heavily recruited wide out's in the state of Florida for next year's class.
The Gators are thought to be the frontrunners for his services and it would not shock me to see Waisome make his decision sometime in the month of August before the season starts.
Nick Waisome finished his junior season with 67 tackles, 18 pass break-ups and four interceptions. He also had 17 receptions for 495 yards and six touchdowns on offense. First Team All State DB for 6A classification. First Team All Central Florida DB by Orlando Sentinel. He says he can bench 245-pounds, squat 500 and claims a 35-inch vertical jump.
Waisome plans to major in health science and reports a 3.2 core GPA. He is taking the SAT on June 12.
Waisome: "I can pass block and I'm great with man-to-man coverage. I move well and can knock a receiver off his route. I also have good closing speed and can find the ball well when it's in the air.
"I want to improve my fundamentals. I want to work on breaking on the ball better and my hands. I want to be more physical covering the wide receiver."
