FNL Player Preview: Mike Blakely

The nation's No. 29 ranked running back, Mike Blakely, checks in at 5-9 and 192-pounds with 4.45 speed from Bradenton (FL) Manatee.

Mike Blakely, he four-star running back, will make the trip to Friday Night Lights with two of his teammates -- 2011 wide receiver Quenton Bundrage and 2012 quarterback Cord Sandberg.

Bundrage, 6-2 and 170-pounds, holds offers from Cincinnati, Florida International, Iowa State, Marshall, Toledo and Central Florida. Sandberg will be a name to remember this time next year.

My Take:
Blakely holds offers from powerhouse programs such as Auburn, Florida, South Carolina, Clemson, Louisville, Miami, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Florida, Tennessee, USC and West Virginia. He camped at Florida, South Carolina and Clemson but look for this to come down to the Tigers (Auburn) Gators and Gamecocks. His cousin plays for Nebraska, quarterback Brion Carnes, so keep an eye on the Cornhuskers. Also, Blakely is very close with current South Carolina wide receiver Ace Sanders so maybe look for the ole ball coach to make a move for Blakely. As it stands today I would say the top three in order looks like Florida, Auburn and South Carolina but there is a long way to go until National Signing Day.
