FNL Player Preview: Eddie Williams

Eddie Williams could be the top ranked player in the state of Florida for next year's class and a sure fire five-star prospect. The 6-3 and 210-pound Williams has 4.45 speed, 300-pound bench, 405-pound squat and a 285-pound clean and jerk.

Eddie Williams is from Panama City (FL) J.R. Arnold and is one of the smoothest looking prospects in Florida. He seemingly glides on the football field making it look effortless at times to the point where you think you are watching a player in the 5-11 range.

My Take:
Plenty of teams have taken notice, most notably Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame and Alabama. Williams projects at safety, and it remains to be seen if the recent announcement of Hasean Clinton-Dix to the Tide will impact him in the future. This one could come down to the two top powers in the Southeastern Conference with the Gators and Tide both vying for his services.

Williams will participate at Friday Night Lights and is coming in with his uncle and cousin, defensive end teammate Javon Williams who checks in at 6-2.5 and 205-pounds. Regardless of position, age or any other requirement Eddie Williams will be one of the most talented players in attendance at Friday Night Lights.
