"My summer went by very fast. I was able to visit six camps. Florida and Clemson are my current leaders. Every school had its advantages but as I get to know coaches and schemes these two schools fit my goals. Coach Austin and Coach Steel are great. The training rooms, weigh rooms and campuses were great. Academic support seemed important."
With Florida and Clemson out in front, there is another Southeastern Conference school that Daron Blaylock was impressed with.
"I did enjoy my visit to South Carolina and working out with Coach Ward. My step-father explained how great a coach Steve Spurrier is."
Blaylock and brother Zack (twin) spent the summer taking trips, fishing and pressure washing jobs for extra money but now it's back to the practice field.
"Practice is going well and I look forward to our first game in the Georgia Dome against Brookwood. We are starting 15 juniors but we have a very good team.
Daron Blaylock is a 6-0 and 210-pound running back/cornerback prospect.
