Texas WR Likes Florida

Chris Ogbonnaya is a wide receiver prospect from Houston, Texas and he is eyeing the Florida Gators.

Chris Ogbonnaya is a talented player from Houston (Texas) Strake Jesuit. Ogbonnaya, 6-1 and 200 pounds, is a wide receiver prospect. Last season as a junior, he caught 22 passes for over 500 yards (7 TDs) and rushed the ball for over 500 yards (7 TDs). He also returned one kickoff for a touchdown and registered 52 tackles as a cornerback.

"I may not be the fastest receiver (4.5 forty) but I am very quick and I make people miss," Ogbonnaya said. "For my size, that is good. My best attribute is my hands. I also have good strength and I am an intelligent player."

According to Ogbonnaya he curretnly has two scholarship offers from Stanford and LSU. "They have offered. Right now, I like Texas, Stanford, Notre Dame, Michigan and Florida. I am looking at academics because I have to graduate, the school environment, tradition, the overall program and the depth charts."

Ogbonnaya also starts for his high school basketball team and track team. He carries a 3.5 grade point average. Ogbonnaya plans on camping at the Nike Camp (A&M) and either at Texas or Michigan this summer.
