Diablo Valley (Calif.) College linebacker Josh Atkinson is a JC linebacker from Northern California who's getting plenty of attention.

"I'm starting my second season at Diablo Valley," said Atkinson. "So far, I have been offered by three schools. These schools are UTEP, Utah State and San Jose State."

But there are more schools interested in him than those three.

"I am receiving interest from BYU, UNLV, Fresno State, Utah, Colorado and Washington," said Atkinson, who's brother Jordan starts at outside linebacker for BYU.

Atkinson is coming off a fine freshman season at DVC.

"I was able to make all-conference in the NorCal Conference. I was also named to the California Community College All-State Academic Team with a 3.85 GPA," said Atkinson.

In 2009, Atkinsonhad 82 tackles, five sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Brandon is in his sixth year with Scout.com, currently as the West Regional Manager. Prior to joining Scout, he spent three years as an o-line and tight ends coach in the high school ranks.
