JucoEast Carolina picked up a commitment from Leroy Vick a defensive end from Milledgeville-Georgia Military, Ga. Vick played high school ball at Fike in Wilson, N.C. Washington State had also offered a scholarship to the 6-foot-6, 275-pound prospect.
Great StartFlorida State has added a second commitment in the class of 2012 who is a big prospect from the Sunshine State. Dalvon Stuckey, defensive tackle (6-foot-3, 300) from Defuniak Springs-Walton, Fla., picked the Seminoles over scholarship offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Iowa State, Louisville, South Carolina and Texas A&M. He had 82 tackles and 4.5 sacks as a sophomore.
Family TraditionThe University of Miami landed a double legacy when Anthony Chickillo committed to the Hurricanes. The 6-foot-4, 235-pound four-star defensive end turned away more than 40 scholarship offers to follow in the footsteps of his dad (played in the '80s) and grandfather (played for the 'Canes and drafted in the NFL in 1953).
On the MoveSouthern Miss added a commitment from Garrett Clark who is rated a three-star offensive guard from Suwanee-North Gwinnett, Ga. The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder grew up in the Sunshine State, but moved to the Peach State earlier in the summer. Other scholarship offers included Colorado State, Duke, Florida International, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Northwestern and South Florida.
Staying HomeSpencer Pulley (6-foot-5, 267), offensive tackle from Cordova-Evalgelical Christian, Tenn., chose Vanderbilt over scholarship offers from Arkansas State, Murray State and Navy. The Commodores picked up a solid prospect.
