Texas Track Meet

Austin, Texas - A Texas Commitment and a member of the Scout 100 for the Class of '12 took turns lighting up the scoreboard in a 66-63 barnburner.

Quarterback David Ash (6'3/190) of Belton is a Texas commitment. He threw for six touchdowns.

Wide receiver Cayleb Jones (6-2/185) of Austin is a member of the Scout 100 for the Class of '12, and he caught four touchdowns.

By the time the final whistle was blown, Austin had beaten Belton 66-63 on a field goal in overtime after over 1,000 yards of total offense.

Ash is a very accurate passer with a cool presence in the pocket. He is a decent runner, but only scrambles out of the pocket as a last resort. Ash does a good job of going through his reads and finding the open receiver.

#12 QB David Ash

Jones is as fearless a wide receiver going over the middle as any in the country. He has sticky hands and is capable of making highlight reel catches on balls thrown high. He elevates well and is spectacular at making the tough catch in traffic. He plays bigger and stronger than his listed 6'2/185, partly because how big a target he becomes leaping for passes. He shows good closing speed at safety.

#4 WR Cayleb Jones (1st play is Jones at Safety)
