AC Leonard Opens it Back Up

The Nation's 5th ranked tight end prospect has been committed to the University of Florida, until today. The 6'2 230-pound four star Alcorus Leonard out of Jacksonville (FL) University Christian School had decided to explore all options.

"Yes I did," Leonard said when asked about the decomitt from the Gators.

Leonard will look at any and all teams moving forward. He has visited Nebraska, Alabama and Florida in the past several weeks and don't be surprised to see trips to numerous schools around the Southeast over the next several weeks.

"Everyone, I am open. I don't have anything against Florida or the coaches matter of fact their all great guys. I just don't feel like that's the best place for me. I am going to use the last two months to see what's out there and what's best for me and my family while I finish up these last couple of classes."

Scout.Com Take:

Leonard is one of the best at tight end in the country. He can really stick his routes and he catches the ball very well with his hands away from his body. He is a fluid big man that can get down field. He is only 6-foot-2, so his height could hold him back after college, but he should be a star on the next level. He needs to work on his blocking, firing off the ball, and driving his man off the ball, but he is elite overall. - Chad Simmons
