Utah State travels to Glendale (Az.) CC for more prospects

Utah State has had success recruiting Glendale (Az.) Community College in the recent past, with former Gauchos Rajric Coleman and Danny Gurrola making starts for the Aggies over the past two years.

It looks as if USU is headed back to Glendale for more players. Three-star DE Rusty Fernando already has an offer and has made a trip to Logan. Today one player received an offer from the Aggies and two others have scheduled official visits.

OLB Anthony Rose (6-0 210), a player that committed to Arizona State out of Tempe Marcos de Niza HS, has received an offer. Rose has missed some time for the 5-1 Gauchos with an ankle sprain but has recorded 18 tackles, 2 TFLs and 1 sack.

LB Ray Cottman and CB Donovan Henley have both scheduled official visits for the weekend of Dec. 11th.

Cottman (6-1 230), who committed to Minnesota after is freshman year at GCC but couldn't enroll after some Clearing House issues, is leading Glendale in tackles with 44. The Tucson Ironwood Ridge product also has recorded 2.5 sacks and 1 INT.

Henley (5-10 165), a teammate of Rose's in high school has made 22 tackles and recorded several PBUs in 2010.

Both Henley and Cottman are midyear transfers that will have 3 to play 2. Rose is May transfer that also has 3 to play 2.

GCC has a bye this week. They travel to Mesa CC in two weeks.
