"It's an honor," said Crowell. "I know some of the players on both teams from camps and 7 v 7 tourneys. It will be good to go up against them in pads now. It is great to get this opportunity. Usually just the players from schools like Good Counsel and DeMatha get to play in big games. It will be like playing in college already with all the great players. I need to get used to it. It will be fun to meet different players and bond with them. I will play against many of them in the future. It will be a good experience."
Crowell recently narrowed his list to Penn State and Ohio State. Besides his two finalists he also holds offers from Connecticut, Duke, Hawaii, Kansas State, Maryland, North Carolina, Rutgers, Stanford, Virginia and West Virginia. He will announce his final decision on November 5th.
The Chesapeake Bowl will pit the North Team vs. the South Team. The North Team is represented by players selected from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and the South Team is comprised of players from Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia. The site of the game will be announced shortly. Each player will receive their own personalized game jersey and a custom bowl ring. The game will be open to the public.
