Florida CB talking to two

Paris Taylor is a standout cornerback prospect from Lake Brantley High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Paris Taylor talked about his senior season.

"It is going good, we lost to Seminole the other night. Hopefully we can bounce back and continue the winning streak like we have. No interceptions yet but I have a lot of nice tackles and a lot of tackles for loss. We are 4 and 2 right now."

Taylor, 6-feet and 175 pounds, says he's been talking to a couple schools lately.

"South Alabama and Louisiana Lafayette, those are the main two, I haven't been talking to anyone else really. "

Taylor remains wide open and is waiting to hear from more schools.

"I don't really have a top five, I just want to go somewhere that fits me. The only one I have been thinking about is Louisiana Lafayette so far. I like their coaching staff, I like the defensive back's coach, he helped me a lot when I was up there for their camp. He showed me a lot of good techniques that I could use during the season and I am doing pretty good with that."

Next up for Taylor is a trip to visit one of the schools calling.

"I am going to South Alabama to check out a game this weekend on an unofficial. I haven't set up any official visits but I look forward to doing that soon."

The standout cornerback, who claims a 3.0 GPA, talked about what he's looking for in a school.

"One of the things I am looking for is a college coach who is a Christian because I am a Christian, so I like to follow coaches who believe in the same thing I do. I am looking for a good journalism program or sports broadcasting program, that's my major. And just a nice school to go to."

Taylor is still waiting for his first offer.
