Crowell Talks About Final Two

Scout.com contacted 2011 prospect Conner Crowell from North Point High School in Waldorf, MD. The three-star LB has narrowed his list to two Big Ten schools and will announce in less than two weeks.

Conner Crowell has been a hot commodity in the recruiting scene for the past year. He continued to gain momentum with college coaches and had offers from schools around the country. Crowell has finally narrowed his list to a final two of Penn State and Ohio State. He talks about how similar the schools are to each other.

"Penn State and Ohio State are my top two," said Crowell. "They have been for a while now. In the summer I changed my top three a couple times but those two never moved from the list."

Besides PSU and OSU, Crowell had offers from Connecticut, Duke, Hawaii, Kansas State, Maryland, North Carolina, Rutgers, Stanford, Virginia and West Virginia.

Crowell sees many common attributes between his final two schools.

"The campuses are big with a lot of students. They have two of the biggest stadiums and they are always full of very passionate fans. The crowds for the games are huge. They are both good academically too. As far as the linebackers go, they both produce great linebackers and they have gone on to have a lot of success in the NFL as well."

Crowell will make his final choice on November 5th which is his final home game and senior night.

"I will be ready and it will be special to announce it at my school on that night. It will be an exciting time."

Crowell is coming off an 18 tackle performance in his last game. He has been selected and will play in the Chesapeake Bowl on December 30th.
