Florida RB is all done

Devonta Freeman is a standout running back prospect from Miami Central High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Devonta Freeman talked about his senior season.

"It is going great right now. We are taking it one game at a time. We are getting better every week. I don't really get into stats because I am so focused on winning the game and winning a state championship but I am leading Dade County. I look at that as just doing my job, but I want to continue to get better."

Freeman, 5-foot-9 and 185 pounds, committed to FSU over the summer and never wavered with that decision.

"I haven't taken no visits at all. I don't really care about it because I already committed to where I want to go so I don't care if I see another school or not. It doesn't matter if I do or I don't."

So why is the standout RB, who claims a 2.7 GPA and a 23 ACT score, so excited about the Noles? He explains that their recent win over Miami helped explain it.

"It is a done deal, they are my favorite school. I went to the UM game. I know for sure I expected them to win. I expected them to come out and start out fast and win. I like how they coached and how they were so hyped during the game. They had momentum the whole game. You could tell because the whole sideline was jumping up and down, it was a real good atmosphere. I have always wanted to go to Florida State, even if Miami would have beaten them I still would want to Florida State. They are getting better and better every year."
