Miller Shows Five-Star Talent

Canton McKinley five-star defensive end Steve Miller ended his regular season career by leading his team to a dominating 40-17 win over Massillon last Saturday. Miller was all over the field and could not be blocked throughout the game. Although an extremely shy person, the Ohio State commit is anything but that on the football field. Bill Greene interviewed Miller following the action.

PROFILE: Steve Miller.

SCHOOL: Canton McKinley.

CLASS: Senior.

SIZE: 6-foot-4, 245-pounds.

POSITION: Defensive end.

RANKING: Five-star. Number four defensive end in America.

RECRUITING: Committed to Ohio State.

INTANGIBLES: Played with an injured elbow harnessed in a brace, but was unstoppable.

PERFORMANCE: Miller was as intense and active as ever against arch-rival Massillon. He basically dominated the man across from him, and the Tigers were forced to double-team him, often unsuccessfully. Normally a quiet person, Miller was very vocal with his teammates, both exhorting and demanding. I've seen him play often since the first game of his sophomore season, and I've never seen him better.
