Cormier Waiting on Scores

True defensive tackles are often difficult to find and even more difficult to sign because everybody wants them. Hastings drain plug Christoper Cormier looks to be a prospect who may find himself with a few options once the dominoes begin to fall with other players. Chris is working hard to erase any concerns about his ability to qualify.

"The season is going great," said Chris. "I feel like it's one of the best seasons we have ever had.

"We're 4-1 in district and we play Eisenhower this week. They look pretty good on film, so it should be a good game. They have a real good quarterback."

Cormier planned to his best talking on the field and so far he is making good on that pledge.

"I feel like I am playing good," said Chris. "I am making a lot more tackles. I doing better running sideline to sideline this year."

Several schools have been in touch with Cormier about possibly signing with their programs.

"I am hearing from Missouri, Alabama, UTEP, Kansas State, Kansas, A&M, Baylor, TCU, U of H and a few more," said Chris. "I am waiting on my SAT scores to come back and the I should be set.

"A lot of schools are calling me and they are waiting to see what my scores are before they do anything. Missouri might be the first one to offer me. They just told me that I just needed to finish up strong with my grades."

When decision time comes, Cormier wants to find a program where he can be one of the guys.

"I want to play at a good school where they have good chemistry on the team," said Chris. "I want to be around some good players where everybody gets along and works together."
