Carter, a freshman starter at Ohio State where he caught 13 passes for 179 yards and one touchdown, is also considering a return to the Buckeyes. He was ruled ineligible for the 2010 Rose Bowl, subsequently leaving Ohio State in June.
Carter, now 6-foot-4, 210-pounds, will be eligible to play in 2011, and will have two years of eligibility remaining, to be completed in three years. He was a four-star recruit coming out of St, Thomas Aquinas, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
He will be visiting LSU in two weeks for their game with Mississippi, then will head to Oregon the following week, when the Ducks face Arizona.
