Commitment is rock solid

Torrey Campbell is a standout cornerback prospect from Barron Collier High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Torrey Campbell talked about his senior season.

"It's going well, it is getting down to the end of the season. We made the playoffs. I am doing well. Not as well as I wanted to, but that is another thing. As a team which is more important we are doing good. I had 3 knockdowns my last game, I should have had two picks, that's it, we won. I am going to college as DB."

Campbell, 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds made an early commitment to Iowa and talked about that.

"I am going to Iowa, I am 100 percent. It was everything I was looking for as far as the staff, the school, the town, so it is a perfect fit for me and my family."

Campbell, who claims a 3.2 GPA and a 25 ACT score, says everyone else has backed off.

"Schools aren't really trying to recruit me. They all know now that I am a solid commitment."

The standout cornerback prospect talked about the season the Hawkeyes are having.

"Iowa's season has been good. They have only lost two games, one to Wisconsin by one point and the other to Arizona early."
