Iowa Commitment Update: Part #3

Get the latest on Jake Rudock, John Raymon, Marcus Grant and Henry Krieger-Coble.

Marcus Grant- Teammates with Mike Orloff, much can be repeated from yesterday. The Spartans final regular game of the season is this Friday, where they will look to finish the year 8-0 before heading into the playoffs. Grant has done a little of everything for Lawrence Academy, but been their most crucial pass catcher. On the season, Grant has caught 15 of the 42 pass completions from Mike Orloff. He has has racked up 271 yards for five touchdowns. Fans need to remember though, Grant is usually out by halftime. He has also rushed the ball six times for 105 yards. Playing on the defensive side of the ball as well, the senior has 23 tackles and one pass deflection. On special teams, he is averaging over 16 yards a punt return and over 38 yards a kickoff.

Henry Krieger-Coble- Missing time last year due to an ankle injury, the senior was able to take advantage of being on the field full time in his stat production. Through 10 games, Krieger-Coble recorded 35 receptions for 612 yards and eight touchdowns. His biggest contributions to Mt. Pleasant came though on defense. The linebacker recorded 108 tackles, averaging over 10 a game. He also had eight tackles for loss and three interceptions. The Panthers finished the season 5-5, losing to ADM 17-12 in the first round of the 3A playoffs.

John Raymon- Council Rock North finished their season at 1-9 overall. At this time, Raymon does not have any stats available.

Jacob Rudock- Last but definitely not least in our Iowa commitment updates is quarterback Jacob Rudock. Leading one of the best teams in the country, Rudock has been nothing but special. Through nine games he has passed for nearly 1800 yards and thrown 23 touchdowns. Even more impressive, he has only throw two interceptions all year. Rudock knows how to take care of the ball. St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) is currently ranked 6th in the USA Today Power High School Football Rankings. The Raiders have one more game before the Florida State playoffs start. The senior quarterback has been hot as of late, throwing 10 touchdowns in his last three games.
