4-Star Smith Recaps NC State

Four-star offensive tackle Donovan Smith took an official visit to NC State this weekend. Scout.com brings you a quick recap of his visit with the Wolfpack.

Four-star offensive tackle Donovan Smith from Owings Mills (MD) holds offers from Connecticut, Michigan State, North Carolina State, Penn State, Syracuse and UCLA.

This weekend, Smith got to experience what Pack Pride is all about as he took an official visit to NC State to witness the Wolfpack blow past Wake Forest 38-3 on Saturday.

"The game was great. They won and the crowd was really in it."

"I really loved it. It was a nice visit. I felt great. I definitely felt the love there. I liked it a lot."

As usual, Smith got the campus tour as well as some quality time with the coaching staff that has been tracking him down for a while.

"I spoke to Coach (Keith) Willis and Coach (Tom) O'Brien. They talked to me about how important I am to them and how much they really think I will fit great into their program."

When I asked him what he enjoyed most about his visit, the 6-foot-7, 280-pound tackle lit up with excitement. He was absolutely in awe over the campus housing.

"I liked most …the dorms. The dorms are not even a dorm. It's like an apartment complex!"

Smith has already taken official visits to Penn State, Michigan State and Syracuse. Next up, is an official visit out west to UCLA (12/4). Among his offers, it appears that NC State is still in the running.

"It's up there. I really had a great time up there."
