Florida LB talks about visits

Isaiah Bruce (6-2/205) is a talented linebacker prospect from The Providence School in Jacksonville and Scout caught up with him for the latest.

Isaiah Bruce talked about his senior season.

"We finally made it to the playoffs for the first time. In the first round we play Melbourne Central Catholic. I think they are good, I think they have couple good athletes. I have about 80 something tackles, 2 forced fumble and 7 sacks. It was alright, I think I had a better year last year."

Bruce, 6-2 and 205, talked about the latest with recruiting.

"The same four are still trying to recruit me, West Virginia, Purdue, Illinois, and Vanderbilt," he said. "I have taken one official visit to West Virginia and I have another official visit to Purdue after the season ends."

Bruce talked about his trip to Morgantown.

"West Virginia, I got to go to the Thursday game against South Florida. They ended up winning that game, it was a great experience. I got to meet all the coaches, all the players and see the whole campus, it was nice. The game atmosphere was crazy, it was the gold rush or whatever, it is when everyone wears all yellow or gold. The crowd was hyper all the time, it was a nice environment."

The standout LB prospect, who claims a 3.3 GPA and an 18 ACT score, isn't ready to name a leader yet.

"My favorite is pretty much who offered me, I don't have a specific college that I want to go to," he said. "My top two are West Virginia and Purdue."

"West Virginia, I like the environment and everything, the scenery. The people are great and they are starting a new business program which is really great for me."

"Purdue, I like their academics and their business program. I like that their coaches are down to earth. I have to look at Purdue before I have a favorite."

Bruce talked about what he's looking for in a school.

"They have to have a great business program and I have to like the environment as far as lifestyle."
