Iron Bowl: Recruits discuss game

Recruits from across the country are eager for the Friday afternoon showdown between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Auburn Tigers. Several recruits are expected in Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl with many who are considering the Tide and Tigers for their signature. FoxSports/Scout.com caught up with several of them, committed and uncommitted, who shared their thoughts about the big SEC game.

Erique Florence, National 100 safety
"I think there's two ways it could go. I think Auburn can win because they're on a roll. They know what's at stake. A win in the game would give them an undefeated regular season, and if they can take care of business in the SEC championship they'll go on to play for a national title. They've played together as a team all year, so I can see them winning with what's riding on the game for them.

"At the same time, I can see 'Bama winning as well. Alabama's had kind of a down season from what they expected. They have a good team, and know if they knock Auburn out of the National Championship race it would be something special. So I can't really give you a definite answer, but it will be a good game."

Kwon Alexander, 2012 five-star linebacker
"I am going to the Iron Bowl. I know it's going to be a great game. I know it's going to be crunk down there. I don't know who will win, but I know it's going to be crazy. It will be very loud down there."

Zeke Pike, National 100 2012 Quarterback
"I think it's going to be a good game. There will definitely be a lot of emotion in the game. It's one of the biggest rivalries in college football. Auburn is trying to play for a national championship. So there will be a lot of emotion. It's going to be a pretty crazy atmosphere. The fans are going to be really into it."

"There is going to be just as much orange as red in the stands. I am really looking forward to the atmosphere. It's going to be exciting. I hope it's a good game. It's hard when you go on these visits and both teams have offered you to say who you will root for. You have to put yourself on both sides of the field."

Jameis Winston, 2012 National 100 Quarterback
"Alabama is dominant when they are at home. They are no match for anyone. Auburn is going to come to Tuscaloosa, they are going to come to play, but it's tough to win at Alabama. I don't want to make any predictions, but if Alabama can contain Cam Newton I don't see Auburn beating them. If he gets loose it's going to be a high-scoring game."

Chris Landrum, Auburn commitment
"I think Auburn wins the game 35-24. Cam has too many weapons around him."

Vinnie Sunseri, Alabama commitment
"I'll say Alabama 27 Auburn 21. I think we will have a good game plan. We will play fired up and ready to go."

Greyson Lambert, 2012 National 100 Quarterback
"I think that it's going to be a really good game. It's going to be a close game. Whoever wins in the trenches will win the game."

Reggie Ragland, 2012 National 100 linebacker
"I think Bama will probably win. The key to victory for Alabama is stopping Cam. If they can do that they will win."

Ryan Kelly, Alabama commitment
"My prediction is that if we put 60 points on the board we'll get the W. Cam Newton is the biggest test if we can stop him when he decides to tuck it and run we should be all right. Since I'll be there Bama's obviously going to get the W."

Caleb Gulledge, 2012 Alabama commitment
"I'm not making early predictions, but I believe coach Smart will have a good game plan, and I have faith in that coaching staff and team I believe they can definitely pull it off. It's going to be a good one, and I will be sure I'm there early."

Reese Dismukes, Auburn commitment
"I think Auburn 35-21. The offensive line has to have their best game. We have to tackle and play fundamental football on defense. We will stop their offense which to me is down right now. It helps we are playing in the day time."

Tyler Nero, 2012 defensive tackle
"I think it's going to be a pretty good game. I can't wait to go. I think Alabama is going to win. I am predicting a 27-13 win for the Tide. The Tide's defense can stop Cam Newton, if he plays. I really hope he plays so Auburn won't have an excuse when Alabama beats them."

Shannon Brown, Alabama commitment
"Bama's going to win because they will have a chip on their shouder. I wish I could be there. Roll Tide Roll!"

Anthony Swain, Auburn commitment
"I believe it's going to be a close one. I predict 27-24 Auburn. Reason being Alabama's defense is probably not going to be able to, I don't want to say stop but slow down Auburn's offense, better yet contain Cam."

Danny Woodson, Jr., Alabama commitment
"I think we are going to come out on top as long as we can contain Cam Newton. I think 42-35 for Bama. It's hard to contain Cam Newton. Hopefully the running backs come together and get ready. Hopefully the passing game and Julio and McElroy.

Dakota Ball, 2012 Alabama commitment
"Every time I went to see Alabama play at home they beat every team bad. I don't think it's going to be any different against Auburn. Auburn has won a bunch of games, but I don't think they are much better than the teams they beat. They just ended up with the win. Alabama is going to win the game 24-20."

Jabrian Niles, Auburn commitment
"It's the SEC, and two of the top programs are going against each other. I expect for it to be a great game, and hopefully we come out with a win. War Eagle!"

Phillip Ely, Alabama commitment
"Alabama all the way. Newton better watch out."
