Alvin Dupree has received visits from three schools this week and has named two schools as his leaders. He received a visit from one of those schools on Tuesday.
One of the coaches that traveled to see Dupree was Georgia Tech offensive line coach Mike Sewak. "We talked about how are season is going and he told me that I'd be getting a written offer soon." Georgia Tech is looking at Dupree as a defensive end and linebacker.
Dupree has already made two trips to Atlanta to see Georgia Tech play. "I saw them play South Carolina State and Miami." Dupree enjoyed the two trips and liked the variety of things to do in Atlanta. "I got to meet all the coaches, some of the players, and I got to see the campus." Once his season is over, Dupree has plans to travel back to Atlanta for an official visit to Georgia Tech.
As his recruitment has begun to pick up, Alvin has two schools at the top of his list. "I like Georgia Tech and Auburn." Like Georgia Tech, Auburn has given Dupree a verbal offer and he expects to get a written offer soon. Auburn is recruiting Alvin as a tight end. Dupree is ranked as the number 42 tight end in the country by Scout.com.
Dupree has a few things he'll be looking at in making his college choice. "I'll be looking at the atmosphere at the schools and I'll also be looking at the depth chart at each school." Dupree was impressed with the atmosphere at Georgia Tech on his visits there.
Dupree plans to major in architecture and his plans right now are to make his college choice on signing day.
