RB commit talks about coaching situation

Mitchell Hester is a standout RB prospect from Fletcher High.

Mitchell Hester talked about his senior season.

"My season went pretty good, I ended up with 1500 yards and 20 touchdowns. We lost in the playoffs, but it was a good season."

Hester, 5-11 and 180, remains committed to Vanderbilt.

"Recruiting is going pretty good, but as you know I am committed to Vanderbilt. It is pretty strong right now. I just want to see who the new head coach is going to be and what offense he is going to run. My scheduled visit is in January."

Hester talked about the coaching situation there.

"Hopefully, the new head coach comes in and runs my kind of offense, you know the I formation, pro style. I have to see what he is going to do first and who is going to be the new head coach before I make any kind of move. I think I will know in the next couple of weeks. Sometime in the next week or two. I am 100 percent right now."

The standout RB, who claims a 3.2 GPA and a 24 ACT score, talked about the season they just had.

"They had a rough season because they had a lot of injuries. They had a good win over Ole Miss and a few other good wins. If you look at their wins, they had a good season. Hopefully I will come in and you know make a big impact."

Hester likes how Vandy is recruiting in Florida.

"Damian Fleming from Ribault is 6'3 and a good quarterback, makes things happen with his legs. There is also a recruit from Orange Park that I am trying to get to come to our school. He is a linebacker."
