WR: Golden will turn UM around

Phillip Dorsett is very excited about the hiring of new coach Al Golden. Read on to see what he's saying about that and more.

Phillip Dorsett talked about the change that was recently made at Miami.

"Coach Shannon is gone and Coach Golden came in. He has done an amazing job with recruiting so far. I talked to him early, he is a real down to earth person. I can see how he is a great coach. He called me like a day after he was hired. We had a good conversation."

Dorsett, 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, has scheduled his official visit to Miami for next month.

"I am taking my official at the end of January. I don't know if I will take other visits yet."

While he's not sure about other visits, Dorsett said a few other schools are still actively recruiting him.

"North Carolina, Iowa, Texas Tech and schools like that are. I won't know if I have any interest in them until I visit. I most likely will visit. I haven't set any up yet though."

So why the Hurricanes? He explained.

"It was my childhood favorite school. I grew up loving UM. Everything about Miami I loved. I watched them every week; they aren't really like any other team."

The standout receiver, who claims a 2.7 GPA and a 20 ACT score, said he expects big things from the Al Golden era at UM.

"I think he is going to turn it around I really do. I think he will be there for a really long time and do big things."
