USAAAB: Walker Breaks it All Down

Cleveland Glenville four-star offensive lineman Aundrey Walker has been one of the top performers on the East squad this week. After practice today, he talked about his favorites and upcoming official visits.

Glenville's 6'6, 340-lb Aundrey Walker has been excellent in practices at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl this week, and for the confident guard prospect, it has been confirmation of what he says he already knew.

"It's been great," he said, "just showing me how good I am. Going against the stiff competition, I really appreciate being here. I have to thank God. I mean, I'm here. I'm just grateful for the opportunity."

Walker says Florida defensive tackle Tim Jernigan and center Brian Bobek are the two other players who have impressed him most this week. Being uncommitted, he has been the target of recruiting overtures from many of the committed players on the East squad. He says the two schools he has heard most about are Florida State and Iowa. The Seminoles may get an official visit from Walker, but only if another one falls through.

"The 14th of January, I'm going to USC, 21st I'm going to Michigan and 28th, I'm going to Penn State."

The most likely change? Michigan. Walker said Florida State would be in line for that visit the weekend of the 21st if the coaching situation at Michigan changes.

"Being honest yeah, it probably will change things," Walker said of thee Wolverines. "I'm the type of kid where I don't want to spend the time getting to know another coaching staff. I really got to know Rich Rodriguez and he's a great guy, a great guy to me. Just him getting fired, I'd be like oh no, I can't do it."

Walker says Signing Day is a likely decision date.

"I was talking to Tom lemming, and I probably will do something on CBS, so we'll see where it goes from there."

Walker on Top Schools:

It's always been my dream school. It's always been a big school. You hear about them a lot. Reggie Bush, me growing up watching him, it was inspiring.

Penn State:
I can't really tell you anything about Penn State until I visit, but Joe Paterno, I heard about him. He's a great coach.

Ohio State:
Number one, you already know! Home school. Actually, I want to say number one is between Ohio State and Michigan State. It's pretty close, but I really can't say until I take my next three official visits, but those two have a big role in it.

Michigan State:
Michigan State shows a lot of love. They show that they love me and they're honest and they're just loyal to me. The coaching staff is great. Coach Dantonio is a great guy, Coach Roushar is a great guy, Coach Narduzzi and all that.
