"Kendrick is the most valuable player in the state of Mississippi," said Pogue. "Mississippi State is getting a phenomenal kid and he is a heck of a football player.
"He was a three year starter for us on both sides of the football and in the kicking game."
Despite being a little on the smaller side, Coach Pogue reports that Market has been a very durable player throughout his career.
"He has never missed a practice or a game," said Pogue. "He's a real tough kid and he's a winner. That's the best thing you can say about him. He's just a winner. He's a great team guy and a great leader. I think he has a bright future."
One of the best things about Kendrick is that he is so fundamentally sound as a football player. He does the little things well and as a tackler he is almost a text book example of a form tackler.
"He has done that ever since he has been with us at South Panola," said Pogue. "I think his best football is in front of him.
"I feel like he can be a safety or corner, but he can be a skill guy on offense too. He has been a wildcat type guy for us."
Kendrick was a package quarterback for the Tigers this year at South Panola.
"When he comes in for us on offense the level of play just picks up for us," said Pogue. "You always can figure he can make a great play.
"Our kids just believe something big is fixing to happen when he is in the game. That's just how he handles his business. The kids believe in him. When the money is on the line they can count on him."
