Canes land local DL

The Hurricanes landed their third commitment in as many days Sunday when Homestead defensive end Ricardo Williams picked Miami.

"Ricardo committed to Miami," Homestead coach Bobby McCray said this morning. "He committed yesterday. I talked to Ricardo, Coach Micheal Barrow, and Coach Golden himself, and they welcomed him to the family. He was very excited, his family was very excited."

Williams, 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds, had already visited Texas Tech and planned to see North Carolina and Purdue later this month. It's unclear right now whether he'll take those remaining visits.

Williams is considered one of the top pass rushing prospects in south Florida and wasn't even being recruited by Miami until Al Golden took over.
