SEC Visit on Tap

Jahmel McIntosh has made the rounds as a high school prospect. With the recruiting process winding down, two weekend excursions to the Volunteer state of Tennessee appear to hold the key to Jahmel's college future. A soft verbal to Memphis, McIntosh accepted an official invitation to visit the SEC later this month.

"I am taking an official visit to Memphis tomorrow," said the talented safety. "I was going to play in the Mississippi/Louisiana game next weekend, but I am going to withdraw to take a visit to Vanderbilt"

While the Commodores recent rush of attention is a new development, Vandy has been on Jahmel's radar for some time.

"Vanderbilt has been recruiting me since last spring," explained McIntosh. "My recruiting coach, Coach McKenzie, became the recruiting coordinator. When the season ended they called me and asked for some film.

"He said they really want me and that they love my tape. They say I am a game changer. They want me to come in for an official visit."

Jahmel will make the trip over to Nashville next weekend to see what the new staff at Vanderbilt has planned for him.

"They are talking about me playing safety," said Jahmel. "They say they have faith I can make some things happen the field. He says they have new coaches and they are going to turn things around up there.

"Coach McKenzie said they are going to talk to me about an offer when I visit. He said I was #1 on their board right now. It all sounds good, but I really feel like they like me. I will just have to see how things go."
