Visitors in Tuscaloosa

The University of Alabama will not have a big number of recruits visiting, but a few committed one uncommitted recruit are in town. FOXSports/Scout.com takes a look at who should arrive Friday afternoon and others who have decided to head elsewhere for the weekend.

The weekend lost a little bit of it's luster when Tim Jernigan, five-star defensive tackle from Columbia High School in Lake City, Fla., decided to head to Florida State this weekend. It now appears Alabama is out of the running for the elite defensive lineman.

The only uncommitted recruit in Tuscaloosa is Cameron Clear, four-star offensive tackle from Memphis-Central. He is the top rated player from Tennessee.

Clear, a 6-foot-6, 260-pound athlete, plays tight end in high school and recruited by some as an offensive tackle. He's recruited by Alabama as aa lineman, but might discuss the tight end position this weekend. He was in Knoxville last weekend for an official visit and will visit Auburn next weekend. Tennessee appears to have the upperhand for his signature at this point.

Two commitments in Tuscaloosa include Danny Woodson, Jr., four-star wide receiver from Mobile-LeFlore, Ala., and D.J. Pettway, three-star defensive tackle from Pensacola-Catholic, Fla. Pettway considered an official visit to Florida, but it does not appear he will travel to Gainesville before signing day. Both prospects are solid with their commitments.

Loucheiz Purifoy, three-star cornerback from Penscola-Pine Forest, Fla., considered an official visit to Tuscaloosa. He will stick with his commitment to the Gators.
