"I thought it was awesome. The hotel we got to stay in was sweet, we got to stay in the top floor and it had an awesome view of the beach and the city," Botts said after landing back in California on Sunday afternoon."
"I liked all the coaches, Coach Golden, I think he's a real good coach and I'm just excited to head back out there, go to school and play football".
Botts made the trip with his family and they got to hang out with some of the other recruits and their families.
"Me and my family were there. My mom, dad, and little brother, so I hung out with some of the other recruits and their parents. My host was Jake [Wieclaw]."
Despite getting to spend time with some of the other 17 visitors, Botts said the topic of committing to Miami didn't really come up.
"I'm not sure. I didn't really talk to them about where they want to go. Some were going to visit other schools. They asked me and I told them I was committed to Miami and this is where I want to go. I don't remember their names, but I hung out with a tight end, a defensive end, a couple receivers, and a runningback I think."
While Botts had fun during the visit, he had a chance to sit down with Coach Golden before leaving back for California on Sunday Morning.
"Our flight left at 8AM this morning, so Coach Golden spoke with me the night before, after dinner. I thought it was a really good conversation. He was real honest with me and just got me excited," Botts said.
So what's next for the talented JUCO punter?
"I just go home, I'm going to sign on signing day, and then the coaches are going to send me a plan for what I should be doing to get in shape, weightlifting wise and kicking. I've got to finish the classes I'm taking for my junior college. Once I get those classes done, I'll have my AA, and I'm heading to Miami."
