Peat gets one last in-home

The long process for Todd Peat is about over. Things should at least die down some when it comes to the phone ringing and no one stopping by the house these last few days leading up to signing day. Still, Peat hasn't decided which school is best with Arizona State, Nebraska and Oregon State on his short list. Nebraska was in-home Friday night with Peat.

Todd Peat had one last visitor before signing day on Wednesday. Nebraska was in-home with the defensive tackle from Tempe (Ariz.) Corona Del Sol making one last push.

"Bo Pelini was here last night," Peat said. "He just wanted to see me one more time to reiterate to me how bad Nebraska wants me and what they think about me as a player and how I can develop at Nebraska."

Nebraska stands out to Peat for a number of reasons. Peat took a visit to Nebraska around Thanksgiving weekend and got to see game day in person. More than that, he knows what Bo Pelini could mean for him in the long run.

"I really like the tradition there at Nebraska. Also, Coach Bo Pelini has worked with guys like Glenn Dorsey and Ndamukong Suh and that's big to me. I mean, he sees me as someone that can eventually compare to those guys and that's where I want to get to."

Peat's decision timeframe has continued to slide out. Peat is now saying that he will not know until signing day. "It's not going to be this weekend. I am looking at announcing on signing day. I will be signing around 8:45 to 9:00 that morning."
