Dixon makes the switch

Mississippi State no longer has Baron Dixon on their commitment list, but another SEC program does. He made the switch Monday afternoon.

"I have de-committed to Mississippi State and committed to Vanderbilt," said Barron Dixon Monday afternoon.

"Vanderbilt has a great education and I had a higher chance at playing time at Vanderbilt. Also, after talking to Coach Franklin, I believe that Vanderbilt is going to have great seasons in the future and I want to be a part of that."

Dixon is a 6-foot-4, 270 pound defensive lineman out of Alpharetta (GA) Chattahoochee.

Chad Simmons started out with Scout in 2003 covering top talent in Georgia and other areas in the South. He then moved on to another Recruiting Service from 2004-2008 before returning to Scout the first of 2009 to become Southeast Recruiting Manager.
