All Irish: Anthony Rabasa

Miami prospect to take part in USA vs. The World all-star game tonight in Austin.

Anthony Rabasa (OLB – 6'3/215): Joins Early Enrollee Ishaq Williams and Ben Councell as OLB prospects in the class of 2011…Expected to compete at the CAT position behind senior Darius Fleming and emerging sophomore Prince Shembo…Former high school defensive end with experience playing with a hand on the grown, a key skill set for the position (more so than in the DOG/Drop LB role)…Part of a trio of still-committed prospects to join the Irish on July 30 (Jalen Brown and Aaron Lynch)…Slated for a tough position group to crack in the two-deep (Fleming and Shembo are among the defense's Top 10 players) as a true freshman but that bodes well for his overall development and long-term potential.

Kelly recruiting profile: Big Skill
Returning outside linebackers: Steve Filer (DOG), Darius Fleming (CAT), Dan Fox (OLB/ILB), Prince Shembo (CAT), Danny Spond (played ILB in 2010), Justin Utupo (CAT)

Baumhower on Rabasa: If you're looking for a hard-nosed guy that just gets after it play after play this is your guy.
Berk on Rabasa: Hard playing technician who will excel in the Irish defense. While others have more natural ability, Rabasa is more schooled on the finer points of the game. High motor guy who is only going to get better.
