Houston Talks MSU Junior Day

Michigan State is handing out offers to the 2012 class in-state already, but another prospect to watch is Detroit Loyola's 6'3 junior receiver Amos Houston, who attended the Spartan junior day.

Detroit Loyola has built their program up in the past few years and may have one of their first big time college prospects in junior receiver Amos Houston.

Houston has fantastic size at 6'3, 210-lbs and had a productive year in 2010, catching 22 passes for 393 yards and five touchdowns. On defense, he had 30 tackles and two interceptions from his safety spot.

He has interest coming from a lot of schools, but no offers just yet. He admits Michigan State is one of his top schools, and visited the Spartans for junior day.

"I went to MSU [for junior day]," he reported. "The defensive backs (Harlon Barnett) coach came to my school and told me to come up there."

Houston has been to East Lansing for games before, but this was one of his first chance to see certain facilities.

"It was great, especially the weight room!"

The question then becomes, will the Spartans offer Houston and give him an opportunity to play for his dream school?

"They said they want to try to offer me before the season comes and that my GPA and ACT are solid so that shouldn't be hard to do."
