Westray, 2012 LB

The cold wind and rain didn't slow down Michael Westray of Westlake (Waldorf, Md.) or Derrick Green of Hermitage (Richmond, Va.) who were the only two athletes to score over one-hundred at the NIKE SPARQ Combine.

Green, only a sophomore, was the top overall tester with a SPARQ rating of 111.54.

2012 linebacker prospect Westray, who also plays running back and defensive back, followed closely behind with a 101.28 SPARQ rating highlighted by a stellar 4.16 shuttle time (third best overall) and 35.7 vertical jump. Westray is hearing from Duke, Maryland, Kansas State, Michigan, Marshall and Towson.

Juleon KilliKelly Lee, CB
Western School of Tech
Juleon KilliKelly Lee, a 6-foot-0, 165-pound athlete from Western School of Technology (Md.), clocked the fastest 40-time at 4.46. His overall SPARQ rating was 90.27. KilliKelly Lee lead his team for the first time last year on both sides of the ball as quarterback and defensive back. The versatile athlete is hearing from Maryland, Penn State, and Michigan State with plans to visit Maryland and PSU this June.

Taivon Jacobs is a speedster to keep an eye on from the class of 2013. The 5-foot-10, 165 pound cornerback and kick returner from Suitland (Accokeek, Md.) earned the second best 40-yard dash at 4.47 in addition to a top five score in the 20-yard shuttle. Although only a sophomore, Jacobs is getting early looks from Clemson, Maryland, Notre Dame. Jacobs plans to attend summer camps at Ohio State, Rutgers and Maryland.

2012 Torie Wagner finished in the top five for the 40-yard dash with a 4.53 time. Wagner who spends most of his time on the track at Old Mill (Md.), first laced up for Varsity football last year and is new to the recruiting process.

Willie Ponder, a 5-foot-11, 183 pound wide receiver from Western Branch (Chesapeake, Va.) was less than a second behind Westray in the 20-yard shuttle clocking a 4.18, the fourth highest time. Ponder showed great agility and scored a solid 94.26 SPARQ rating. The 2012 prospect is hearing from Delaware, James Madison and Old Dominion. He plans to attend camps at Richmond, Towson, Delaware and Appalachian State.

2012 prospects Kenneth Coughlin, a linebacker from Tottenville (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Benjamin Mitchell, an outside linebacker from Altoona Area (Altoona, PA.) both displayed dominating strength and both had the overall best power ball score of 41.

Following closely behind in the power ball test was 2013 Derrick Green and 2013 Benjamin Scott of Seventy First (Fayetteville, N.C.). Scott, a tough and physical tight end tied Green with a 40.5 power ball score. Scott is receiving early interest from North Carolina, Duke and NC State.

Darius Lewis, a 2012 defensive back from Quince Orchard (Rockville, Md.), proved he has ups with a 39.3 vertical jump, the highest on the day. Brehon Daniel, a 2012 running back from Salem (Virginia Beach, Va.) came in second with a 37.0 vertical jump.

Maurice McDonough (Md.)
2012 cornerback Marchez Coates of Maurice McDonough (Md.) is deserving of an honorable mention along with 2013 running back Dontea Agree of Wicomico High (Md.). Coates who ran a 4.28 shuttle, is hearing from PSU, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Maryland, TCU, Missouri and Rutgers.

Agree who ran a 4.46-40 yard dash has received a hefty amount of questionnaires from PSU, MSU, Tennessee, UCLA, Maryland and the list goes on.
