Murray Talks New Offer and Camps

The defensive back from Steubenville High School (Ohio) just landed an offer from Indiana. He is excited about the offer and is ready to research the school.

Defensive back Najee Murray from Steubenville High School (Ohio) just landed an offer from Indiana. He said the offer came after talking with Indiana's Mike Ekeler.

"I wasn't expecting it. I only talked to Coach Ekeler about two times and he came in to see me later on that day," Murray said. "I gave him a call and they had an offer for me. I was really surprised about it. I was excited because it's Big-Ten."

Murray said he has been impressed with the coaching staff because of their expertise and previous football experience.

"I was impressed with the coaching staff. The offensive coordinator from Oklahoma is the head coach now (Kevin Wilson) and they have a lot of experience with coaching," Murray said. "It's important to me to have coaches with a lot of experience."

Murray plans to head to Indiana during the summer. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound recruit knows Shane Wynn from Glenville. Wynn committed to Indiana.

"Indiana is on my top list now too," Murray said.

Murray said Toledo, West Virginia and Ohio State remain at the top of his favorite list. The defensive back recruit attended Nike Camp this past weekend. He was pleased with his performance.

"Nike Camp went well. We did position drills; we worked our hips and we also did one-on-ones," Murray said.

Murray said all of the results are not posted yet. He is hoping to make it on the Training Camp Team. He said all of the results should be out this week.

"I would definitely go back to that camp. I have another camp on Sunday," Murray said. "The Under Armour Combine and trial is this weekend. It's in Medina, Ohio."

Murray does not have any visits planned for right now. Attending camps and training is part of the recruit's off-season strategy.
