Fla. LB Noor Davis Names Top Five

The Villages (Fla.) Charter School linebacker Noor Davis announced his top five today, and will make his decision Friday. Davis, who is 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, previously said Notre Dame and Florida would make his list. Who else is on it?

The Villages (Fla.) Charter High linebacker Noor Davis already listed has Notre Dame and Florida as two of his top five schools, and moments ago he named the other three.

But the twist to Davis' unveiling is that he will no longer take the summer to think about a decision, but rather will unveil it Friday at a yet-to-be-determined time.

The Irish and Gators join Stanford, Alabama and Southern Cal in Davis' top five.

As a junior, the 6-foot-4, 225-pounder made 101 tackles, including eight sacks and forced three fumbles. He is a member of the National Honor Society, and already made a visit to Notre Dame's campus.

"It was great to see the Basilica, the Grotto, to meet with the coaches, to see the campus and meet with academic consultants," Noor told Scout.com's Laura McKeeman last month. "It was a great trip."

During the trip, Davis learned how the Irish would use him.

"Notre Dame would really like to have me there," Davis said at the time. "They feel I could play a very (big) role in their defense on the outside."

Scout.com will have an update on Davis' announcement later tonight and will also be at Davis' announcement Friday
