Bautista describes what he is hoping to accomplish by participating in the combine.
"I am hoping to get my name out there. Trying to get as many schools interested, so I have lots of offers and a wide range of options," said Bautista.
Bautista doesn't have any current offers on the table at this point, but he has been hearing from top several programs.
Bautista has three favorite schools at this stage in the game, San Diego State, Cal Poly and Colorado.
"There has always been something about San Diego State that I have really liked. Even though I think I would like to go out of state, SDSU isn't too close to home because I really liked their program," said Bautista.
Cal Poly's recruiting coach, Bryan Cook came to Northwood to talk with Bautista a couple weeks ago.
"When Coach Cook came to visit my high school he invited to play in their camp in July. I am would be excited about going there because I have a lot of friends there," said Bautista.
Colorado is also one of Bautista's stand-outs.
"I really like the program and the campus. I also liked how they moved into the pac-12. Colorado is appealing to me because I am thinking I would like to go out of state," said Bautista.
Bautista says, "I don't want to play any other position. Quarterback is where I stand out. However I will go anywhere I can play."
Bautista has a busy off-season planned. He is doing everything he can to help heat up his exposure.
"This summer I was invited to play in the second round of the Blue and Grey Camp, and I will also be attending both Cal Poly and San Diego State' camps. I am lifting weights and working out with my quarterback coach, Mike Zorn, who I have being working with since I was little. Every day I workout with him and practice technique drills," said Bautista.
