North Philadelphia native David Williams has great height at 6-foot-1 and while he already weighs 185 pounds, he certainly has the frame to get much bigger over the next two years while working out with his person strength coach Greg Garrett at Level 40 Training.
This past weekend, the West Catholic High School tailback made the trip to Connecticut for camp and he impressed the coaches so much with his ability and speed which has been reported in the 4.42 area, that he was awarded an early offer on Tuesday.
"I just talked to Coach Matt Cersosimo and they offered me a scholarship," Williams explained. "I was really impressed with the facilities and the environment up there this weekend and I was really cool with the running backs coach (Clayton) White even though it was my first time meeting him. Coach Cersosimo and I are building a relationship and he's been really cool since I've been talking to him."
As a sophomore, Williams carried the ball 100 times for 924 yards and 17 touchdowns.
