Mills Impresses at TCU, Texas

DeSoto (TX) High DB Jalen Mills discusses his performances at both camps.

"I did really good at TCU today," texted Jalen Mills Friday evening. "Out of five 1-on-1s, I only had one pass caught on me, and had one interception."

In addition to that, he ran a 4.51 forty and a 4.01 shuttle.

"Coach Clay, the DBs coach, said I did a great job."

The 6-foot, 180-pounder says Coach Akina at Texas told him he impressed at their camp, as well.

"Coach Akina wanted me to go with the Skyline wideout commit (Thomas Johnson). We went four times and he caught one pass."

When asked if Horned Frogs or 'Horns have said anything about offering, Mills said, "Not to me. My coach said he has been talking to Coach Akina and Coach Clay and Patterson, and they like me a lot."

Other programs who like him a lot, and have recently jumped with verbal offers, are Virginia, Kansas, Colorado State, and Utah State.

They join Houston, Iowa State, Memphis, Tulsa, and UTEP in his cap.

"Right now, I don't have any top schools," notes Mills. "I'm liking all the schools recruiting me."

Next up on his calendar: USC Camp, LSU Camp, and possibly Oregon's.
