Payne Nabs Bearcat Offer

Southfield (Mich.) cornerback Leviticus Payne talks about his offer from Cincinnati, one he earned at camp.

Southfield High cornerback Leviticus Payne performed well at Cincinnati's camp over the weekend and ended up with a Bearcat offer when their dust settled.

"Yes, they offered," he confirmed with Scout, "I called their coach [after the camp]."

The 5'8, 175-lb Payne is a multi-talented athlete that could play a number of positions, and he says the Bearcats are not holding him to a specific spot.

"They said either side of the ball. They said I'm explosive on offense, and good for their defense."

That offer adds to existing ones from Toledo and Iowa. Payne says he was happy to add this one though.

"I am excited about it," he stated.

Payne will be at the Sound Mind Sound Body camp on Wednesday.
