Michigan State - DL Camp Report

Michigan State's defensive line crop today featured a couple players who emerged as offer possibilities.

The defensive line group was heavier on the sleeper variety today than players coming in with many big time offers, but a few established themselves as players to know.

Solon defensive tackle Nate Hoff, already holding two MAC offers, had a very good day. He's strong, gets off the ball well and is good with his hands. He's not tall, which may hold him back, but he put himself in position to possibly receive some Big Ten offers.

Gibraltar Carlson's Kyle Ready is a good athlete and a pure edge rusher. He is about 6'3, 220, so he has some room to grow, but he is agile, and can beat offensive linemen with inside and outside rushes. He's a good prospect who should continue to add offers.

Sandusky (OH) defensive tackle prospect Mike Brown had a good day and may soon add his first offer as a result. Ontonagon (Mich.) defensive tackle Corbin Fuller is big, but very raw. He had some struggles in drills, but picked it up in 1-1s. He's a project, but someone will take a chance on him because of size and upside ability.

In the underclass ranks, Grand Blanc rising junior Daniel Davis is going to be a good one. He has good size already and is an athletic edge rusher. Detroit Country Day's Poet Thomas has great size and is light on his feet, but needs continued improvement with his technique and overall strength.
