SUFanTV: James Washington

Winter Park High School defensive end James Washington became a member of the 2012 recruiting class for Syracuse this week and we recently got to check out some of his junior highlights. While Washington is listed as a defensive end, it's his versatility and athleticism in space that will make him most valuable.

Syracuse just picked up James Washington out of Winter Park, Fla., and while the 6-foot-2, 220-pounder is listed as a defensive end, he definitely falls into the hybrid category. Washington, who had around 20 scholarship offers upon committing, is very nimble with his hand off the ground and we have a feeling that will lead to the Orange being able to get very creative with their defensive schemes and doing what they do best, getting to the quarterback.
