Coppell Kicker Headed To Austin

Nicholas Jordan, a 6-foot-0, 165-pound kicker from Coppell High in Texas has ended his recruitment. The soon to be senior is a Texas Longhorn.

Coppell kicker Nicholas Jordan, a 6-foot, 165-pound soon to be senior has committed to Texas according to LonghornDigest Publisher Kevin Flaherty. Flaherty is currently on the road, but will have more on the breaking news later today.

Jordan, who had offers from Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Illinois, and Iowa State, as of last night did not have an offer Texas.

In a story with Greg Powers yesterday, the 2012 recruit had been in "Austin all day," taking a tour of the facilities and meeting with the coaches. It was that meeting that impressed the staff enough to offer.

"They said that I would have a good chance to start as a freshman, because they have a guy there now who would be graduating," said Jordan.

As a junior he was named special teams player of the week seven times and earned Special Teams All-District MVP honors.
