"I went to the Vanderbilt camp a couple weeks ago on June 12," said Josh Shelton from Mount Juliet, Tenn. "That's the only place I have been this summer. I may take a few more trips, but haven't decided yet.

"I am trying to make a decision before the start of the season. Vanderbilt is my favorite school. I am also looking at Tennessee State and Arkansas."

Shelton talked more about the camp and interest in the Commodores.

"The camp went really good," he said. "I feel like I did really well out there. The coaches were telling me they wanted to see me. They told me I did really well. They were glad I came up there.

"I thought the camp was fun. It was hot out there. It was good competition though. I felt like I did well. It was great working out with them.

"The coaching staff is amazing. Coach Franklin keeps it straightforward with you. Vanderbilt has great academics. They have great coaches. It's local. I feel like I have a good chance to play early. That's a big factor for me."

Shelton reports scholarship offers from Alabama State, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Jacksonville State, Middle Tennessee, Tennessee State and Vanderbilt.
