Ben Tamburello counts nine

Ben Tamburello, three-star center from Hoover-Spain Park, Ala., has attended several camps this summer. He has close to double-digit scholarship offers including a new one on Wednesday.

"I have nine offers," said Ben Tamburello. "I have offers from South Alabama, Samford, UAB, Southern Miss, Arkansas State, Western Kentucky, FIU, Southeastern Louisiana and Tulane. FIU and Tulane offered me this summer.

"Tulane actually offered me today. I think that is an interesting offer. I am going to look into that school. It's a cool place.

"Auburn, Stanford, Mississippi State, West Virginia and Rice have all shown a lot of interest. I went to camps at Auburn and Stanford. I'd say the schools recruiting me the hardest are Southern Miss, Mississippi State and Auburn."

Tamburello hasn't received offers from Stanford or Auburn at this point. He traveled to both camps to showcase his skills.

"I thought the visit to Stanford went really well," he said. "I talked to the coaches a lot. I have never seen anything like it. It's different from an SEC school. The academics and everything that comes out of Stanford is really cool.

"Stanford has a new offensive line coach. They offered a bunch of guys before they saw me. They are going to have to take a wait-and-see approach before they offer anymore linemen.

"The visit to Auburn went really good. I got a chance to talk a lot to coach Grimes. I talked to coach Malzahn and coach Chizik while I was there. They told me they are going to give me a hard look this fall. They want to see how I play my senior year."

Tamburello, an Auburn legacy, is not in any rush to make a decision.
